For this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt, Linda G. Hill has given us the word “draw.”

She used to dream about sunsets

on the other side of the world,

and sunsets that fell millions of years ago

hundreds of life times ago over the same mountains, oceans and streams

that surrounded the house she lived in

and then one day she decided to see  the pictures she drew on the inside of her eyelids for herself

but before she walked out of her front door, she thought, 

” Why should I stop there? Why not go further?

” Why not go further! ” she cried happily  into th darkness of her home, ” why not go a lot further then I have ever dreamed? “

So she put on her best dress

and her favorite hat

and she hopped on her favorite broom

and  the adventurous Witch of  Gravesend, Washington  flew herself  all the way to Mars.
