DAILY PROMPT
Roaring Laughter
I want to be delicate
I want to be fair
I want to be white
and have golden hair.
So I primp and diet
pray and swear
to
all the Gods and Devils
Let me be her!
My prayers go
unanswered
lost in a void
and
I’ve yet to meet that
fair, delicate, golden-haired girl.
I went to the mirror
last Saturday morn
and as I opened my eyes
I saw
A dark skinned woman
with strong sturdy arms
her shoulders are broad
her eyes are black storms
She looked back at me
with a smirk and snarl
she was laughing from her gut
from the depths of her soul
because
I could not force her to be
that
Delicate
White
Golden Haired Girl
Nice read.
Probably none of your friends would want you to be that delicate, fair light-haired girl!!!
Oh but we try…I’m just glad part of me is putting her foot down and saying no!
Yes…I’m glad, also.
