The funny thing about storms-

the kind of storms that bring rain and thunder and lightning

is that for as much as I love the drama of it all,

when I am inside where it is safe and dry and warm

I still tread quietly, carefully, I would say furtively

from one room to the next

like the ghost  of a memory that leaves  you at sunrise

but always comes back just before you fall asleep.
