I have always wanted  someone to describe me in just one of those words.

My friend once said to me as we watched our pretty co-workers

bounce up the stairs ahead of us.

” We’re not show dogs like them- we are mutts, just a couple fat ol’ working dogs-

aren’t we?”

 We  are not friends anymore.
