RDP SATURDAY: AWAKEN

The last day I remember being able to see the blue sky and the last time I remember breathing fresh air was just after Labor Day.
After that the fires came and the power went off and the smoke was here.
It felt like it had always been here.
But on Friday it rained and this morning I saw this little patch of blue sky.
I was pretty excited about that.
The funny thing is that now it seems like the that rolled around on the ground and filled the tree tops and covered the sky was a million years ago.
I don’t know if that’s a good thing. It doesn’t do any good to pretend things are peachy keen when they are not.
But sometimes I think we need a little break from those smokey dark days that roll into our lives through no fault of our own.
Maybe that’s what I got this morning, I caught a break- the sky was blue and I felt peachy keen.

It is nice to have a break for you and the pooch. Pets struggle with it too. After a smoke filled summer in Australia, my dogs have decided they are inside dogs.
