RDP SATURDAY: WILDERNESS

I remember it, like it was only just a few months ago

that I could hop in my car

catch a plane

buy a ticket on a train and a ride across the country

without a second thought.

I just packed up and went into the wilderness without a care in the world.

Has it been forever

since I’ve been lost in the wilderness

between these four walls

where it’s always midnight

and the Red Plague

has held sway over us all?
