This Officer led a murderous mob away from the doors to the Senate Floor- which were not locked and the Senate had not been evacuated yet. One officer stood up against a racist murderous MOB incited by the President of The US.

Breathtaking New York Times photograph of Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman facing down a mob of  Insurrectionists and White Supremacists by himself.

This moment in ⁦@igorbobic⁩ stunning footage. In front of the officer, coming up the stairs, is a mass of rioters. The USCP officer glances to his left. Between those two chairs is the entrance to the senate floor. He lured them to his right, away from their targets.

Officer Goodman  is the face bravery, honor and patriotism.

  1. The officers on duty were thrown under the bus by mismanagement and apparently by some who may have conspired with the rioters. Oddly, the rioters were protesting a conspiracy, but the only conspiracy was the one in which they participated.

In any case, the bravery of these officers cannot be understated. In a city of monuments, we need to replace a few more rebel statues with one dedicated to these officers.
