Daily Writing Prompts: What animals make the best/worst pets?
I have reached down deep to answer this question: What animals make the best/worst pets and the answer surprised me.
It’s not that I would want to make a pet out of the prehistoric animals, like the ones that our ancestors painted on the cave walls in Grotte de Lascaux, near the village of Montignac in France- but I would have liked to have seen these animals the way the artists did.
When these people painted these pictures on the walls in this cave, they had to bring the light in with them and when they left these animals were plunged into absolute darkness.
Why would they do that, you might ask yourself. I asked myself this question and this is the answer I came up with:
If I just quiet my brain and imagine those animals on those walls in that cave- I can almost hear them breathing, I am pretty sure I can hear them whispering to
each other and I’m positive that I can even hear them moving.
The relationship between these people and these animals was unique. I would really like know what these ancient people and these ancient animals thought of each other and I think I’d like to have been part of that.
